Lunch & Learn Parent Ed (virtual): Teaching Texting and Reeling it in

Join us on Zoom for our Lunch & Learn parent ed: Teaching Texting and Reeling it in

There comes a time when our kids want to directly communicate with each other. When we say yes to texting, we imagine our child being a savvy communicator who uses texting as a tool to make plans and ask about homework. But the reality is often very different and we hear a lot of complaints from elementary and middle school parents who have experienced first-hand when group texting has gone awry. We'll discuss why we recommend delaying group texting until middle school and how to teach your child how to text when you do roll it out.

Hosted by Rebekah Cunningham

Limited to 20 participants.

Pre-registration required.

We do not record our virtual Lunch & Learn sessions in order to protect the privacy of our participants. These sessions sometimes include demos on devices that include personal information, and we want parents to feel free to ask questions and share openly.

To preserve this safe space, we also ask that participants refrain from using AI note-taking tools (such as Otter.ai, Fireflies, or similar apps) during our sessions.
