Lunch & Learn Parent Ed (virtual): All things iPhone

Join us on Zoom for our Lunch & Learn parent ed: All things iPhone

We encourage families to delay smartphones as long as possible (ideally until high school) and then take them very slowly. iPhones can be set up with limited functionality so they are used for texting, calls, and essential tools - without all the distracting and risky apps. But parents/caregivers need to know that choosing an iPhone for an adolescent requires the parent to have a good amount of tech knowledge (or the willingness to learn), a high level of continued vigilance, and ongoing fortitude. In this session we'll cover Apple Parental Controls and how to set up an iPhone to be "simple".

Hosted by Rebekah Cunningham

Limited to 20 participants.

Pre-registration required here.

We do not record our virtual Lunch & Learn sessions in order to protect the privacy of our participants. These sessions sometimes include demos on devices that include personal information, and we want parents to feel free to ask questions and share openly.

To preserve this safe space, we also ask that participants refrain from using AI note-taking tools (such as Otter.ai, Fireflies, or similar apps) during our sessions.
